Simultaneously with 2EDA will be the first European meeting of Youth people with albinism in Valencia (April 5 and 6, 2014).
ALBA, as organizer of this meeting, has secured European funds to cover the costs of the meeting. ALBA is very satisfied to have obtained the necessary financial aid, since it means that we will be able to gather young people with albinism from all over Europe in Valencia, and give them the opportunity to get to know each other, exchange their personal experiences and start joint projects. We hope that this meeting is very enriching, interesting and promising.
This European meeting of young people with albinism will take place on the same days as the 2EDA, but will have its own agenda, its own activities, etc. Participants will be staying in the same hotel where the rest of the participants, researchers and representatives of the associations will be staying. This should create a better environment for them to get to know each other and socialize during the two days that the meeting will last.
The main objective of this meeting is to give young members of our associations an opportunity to meet other young people with albinism from different European countries, to share experiences with them and to propose future joint projects. For example, we would like to discuss the possibility of organizing a summer camp for boys and girls with albinism or an exchange program for families of children with albinism.
Finally, it is recommended that young people attending this meeting should not be under 18 or over 30 years of age.
