The Erasmus + education project "TOGETHER WE CAN OVERCOME BARRIERS: Strategy for the equity inclusion of young people with albinism at the center and in the classroom" has now completed and the results and outputs have been published by ALBA Asociación para la ayuda a personas con albinismo on a dedicated website at http://www.albinismo.es/educacion/

This project, coordinated by ALBA and with participation from the associations of people with albinism from Italy (ALBINIT), Norway (NFFA) and Denmark (DFFA), was funded by the Erasmus Plus Program of the European Union.

This project began in 2016 with the aim of investigating and exchanging experiences related to the educational experience of students with albinism and/or with visual impairment, and learning about the types of adaptations that are used in different European countries for the inclusion of people with albinism in primary education classrooms.

 Guides

The project has resulted in the development of two guides whose purpose is to help combat educational inequalities generated by the barriers and obstacles faced by students with albinism in primary education.

EnvironmentGuide- Guide for the formation of the educational environment for the education of students with the genetic condition of albinism and/or visual deficiencies in the plan of attention to diversity (PAD)

AdaptationGuide- Guide for the elaboration of an individualized curricular adaptation of access and the creation of specific tools for students with severe visual impairment related to their genetic condition of albinism.
